Stade Sapiac

US Montauban triumphed over Valence Romans with a final score of 25-23 in a closely contested match at Stade Sapiac. Thomas Fortunel opened the scoring for Montauban with multiple penalties, showcasing his kicking prowess. Valence responded with a try from Thomas Roziere, which Lucas Meret converted, briefly giving them the lead. However, the game turned when Valence's Adam Vargas received a red card, leaving his team down a man. Montauban capitalized on this advantage, with Yvan Reilhac scoring a crucial try that was converted by Baptiste Mouchous. Despite a late resurgence from Valence, including penalties from Meret, they fell just short. Montauban's disciplined play and effective use of the extra player secured their narrow victory.
