The Shizuoka BlueRevs narrowly defeated the Kobelco Kobe Steelers 15-13 in a closely contested match. The Steelers struck first with a penalty from Lee in the opening minute, but Greene quickly equalized for the BlueRevs. Brodie Retallick and George Turner both scored tries for the Steelers, giving them a 13-3 lead at halftime. Malgene Ilaua received a yellow card for the BlueRevs but returned as they fought back. Valynce TeWhare scored a crucial try early in the second half, narrowing the gap. Late in the match, Vueti Tupou's try and Greene's conversion secured the victory for the home side. Despite a valiant effort from the Steelers, they fell just short, unable to convert their chances into points in the final moments.
