Leinster Rugby triumphed over Munster Rugby with a score of 13-8 in a tightly contested match at Thomond Park. The away team took an early lead with a try from van der Flier, converted by Byrne, putting Leinster ahead 7-0. Munster responded with a penalty from Crowley, but Byrne added another penalty for Leinster just before halftime. In the second half, Munster finally crossed the line with a try from Kelly, narrowing the gap to 10-8. However, Byrne's continued accuracy with the boot secured another penalty for Leinster, extending their lead. Despite Munster's efforts, they struggled to convert pressure into points, with several missed opportunities. Leinster's strong defense held firm, securing a vital away victory in this fierce rivalry.
