The NSW Waratahs showcased a commanding performance against the Queensland Reds, finishing the match with a score of 36-12. Clem Halaholo opened the scoring with an early try, which was converted by Lawson Creighton. Tim Ryan responded for the Reds, but a yellow card for Vaiuta Latu just before halftime shifted momentum back to the Waratahs. Max Jorgensen added another try for the home side just before the break, leaving the score at 19-5 at halftime. The second half saw Isaac Kailea, Jorgensen, and Teddy Wilson each cross the line, further extending the Waratahs' lead. The Reds managed a second try through Joe Brial, but it was not enough to turn the tide. Creighton's accurate kicking helped to solidify the victory, as he converted six tries throughout the match.
