The Kobelco Kobe Steelers narrowly defeated the Mie Honda Heat 24-19 in a closely contested match. Imamura opened the scoring for the Steelers with an early try, converted by Gatland. Mie responded with a try from Lemeki, leveling the score before the Steelers surged ahead with two more tries from Burua. The Heat’s Nishimura received a yellow card, impacting their momentum as the Steelers capitalized on the advantage. Just before halftime, Takuro Hojo scored for Mie, bringing the score to 19-17 after Kitahara’s conversion. In the second half, Retallick extended the Steelers' lead with another try, and Gatland's conversion sealed their victory. Despite a valiant effort from Mie, they couldn't close the gap, resulting in a hard-fought win for Kobelco.
