US Montauban secured a narrow 20-17 victory against FC Grenoble in a closely contested Pro D2 match. FC Grenoble started strongly, with Marc Palmier kicking three penalties and Otunuku Pauta scoring a try, putting them ahead 14-7 by halftime. Josua Vici's try for Montauban ignited their comeback efforts, followed by a successful conversion from Enzo Herve. After the break, Montauban took the lead with another try from Stephane Ahmed, despite playing with a yellow card for Leo Aouf early in the second half. Grenoble was unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities, failing to convert a late drop goal attempt by Palmier.
