Ulster Rugby faced the Sharks at Kingspan Stadium and lost 19-22 in a tightly contested match. Ulster started strong with early tries from Murphy, Postlethwaite, and Doak, establishing a 19-5 lead by the 30th minute. However, the Sharks responded with a try from Mapimpi just before halftime, narrowing the gap. A yellow card for Stockdale hindered Ulster's momentum and provided an opportunity for the Sharks. In the second half, tries from Tshituka and Julius, along with a conversion from Hendrikse, gave the Sharks a crucial lead. Hendrikse's accurate kicking proved decisive, particularly with a penalty late in the match. Despite a valiant effort from Ulster, they were unable to reclaim the lead, resulting in a disappointing defeat.
