The away team quickly established dominance, with Ollie Hassell-Collins scoring the opening try at the 17-minute mark, followed by Anthony Watson and Hanro Liebenberg adding to the tally before halftime. Newcastle responded with a try from Callum Chick shortly after the break, but Leicester's George Martin and Will Wand quickly countered to extend their lead. Watson and Hatherell both received yellow cards, reflecting the intense nature of the match.
