Bath Rugby delivered an impressive performance, defeating Sale Sharks 40-13 at the Recreation Ground. Will Muir opened the scoring with an early try, quickly followed by successful conversions from Finn Russell. Bath continued their dominance with tries from Miles Reid and Thomas du Toit, with Russell converting each to extend the lead. Sale managed to respond with a penalty from Robert du Preez, but Bath's Ted Hill scored again just after halftime. Despite being reduced to 14 men when Will Butt received a red card, Bath maintained control and added a try from Tom Carr-Smith. Sale's Will Addison crossed for a consolation try, but Bath's Francois van Wyk capped off the match with a final try. Finn Russell's accurate kicking and Bath's relentless attack were key to their convincing victory.
