Stade Montois secured a narrow victory over Oyonnax with a final score of 30-24. Willie du Plessis was instrumental for the away side, scoring crucial penalties and a drop goal, finishing the match with a total of 15 points. Oyonnax started strong with tries from Narisia and Ikpefan, but were hindered by a yellow card to Mensa in the first half. Montois responded with tries from Masse and Faleafa, keeping the pressure on Oyonnax. The second half saw Myles Edwards extend Montois's lead with a well-timed try. Despite a late penalty from Holmes bringing Oyonnax closer, they couldn't overcome Montois's defense. Ultimately, Stade Montois's discipline and strategic kicking made the difference in this closely contested match.
