Stade Charles-Mathon

Oyonnax delivered a commanding performance at Stade Charles-Mathon, defeating US Montauban 39-7. The home team opened the scoring with a penalty from Bouraux and followed it up with an early try from Lobzhanidze, converted by Bouraux. Montauban responded with a try from Powell, also converted by Fortunel, but their momentum was halted when Powell received a yellow card shortly before halftime. In the second half, Oyonnax continued to dominate, scoring four more tries through Picault, Durand, Bogado, and Sawailau, with Bouraux adding multiple conversions. Montauban struggled to gain traction, failing to capitalize on their opportunities. The match showcased Oyonnax's strong attack and discipline, while Montauban's performance was marred by ill-discipline and a lack of sustained pressure. Overall, Oyonnax's victory highlighted their superiority in both set pieces and open play.
