CA Brive secured a narrow 21-17 victory over US Montauban in a tightly contested Pro D2 match. The home side initially took the lead with a try from Notshe in the seventh minute, but Brive quickly responded through da Silva's try and a penalty from Bosch. Montauban's Bosviel added penalties to keep the score close, but a yellow card for van der Merwe put Brive at a disadvantage temporarily. After halftime, Brive regained momentum with another try from da Silva, followed by successful conversions and penalties from Bosch. Montauban fought back with a series of penalties from Bosviel, but they couldn't convert pressure into a decisive score. Both teams made numerous substitutions as the game progressed, but Brive's defense held firm. Ultimately, Montauban's efforts fell short, allowing Brive to claim victory on the road.
