In a tightly contested Pro D2 clash, US Montauban triumphed over FC Grenoble with a final score of 24-19. The visitors took an early lead with two penalties from Jerome Bosviel, followed by a try from Sikhumbuzo Notshe. Grenoble responded with a try from Wilfried Hulleu, converted by Sam Davies, but Montauban maintained their advantage with a drop goal before halftime. The second half saw another Montauban try from Fred Quercy, extending their lead. Grenoble fought back, scoring a try and conversion shortly after, but they could not recover from Montauban's strong start. Sam Davies missed a crucial drop goal attempt late in the game that could have swung momentum. Ultimately, Montauban's disciplined defense secured their victory, adding to their recent success against Grenoble.
