Stage: Conference A Round 4

Sagamihara Gion Stadium

The Mitsubishi Sagamihara Dynaboars triumphed over the Kobelco Kobe Steelers with a score of 34-26. Kurt-Lee Arendse was a standout player, scoring two early tries, both converted by Kazuki Ishida, who also added a penalty and a third conversion later in the match. The Dynaboars maintained pressure throughout the first half, with Walt Steenkamp contributing to their lead. The Steelers fought back with tries from Tiennan Costley and Brodie Retallick, but struggled to keep pace with the home side. A yellow card for Jack Stratton briefly disrupted the Dynaboars, allowing the Steelers to capitalize with another try from Costley. Despite the Steelers’ late surge led by Willie Potgieter, the Dynaboars held on for the win. The match showcased a strong performance from Ishida, solidifying his role as a key playmaker.
