The Kubota Spears secured a convincing 39-20 victory over Mie Honda Heat in their Japan League One D1 match. Bernard Foley was instrumental for the Spears, scoring a try and converting all his attempts, finishing with 19 points. The home side established early dominance with tries from Foley and Shinobu Fujiwara, alongside penalties from Foley. Mie Honda's Dawid Kellerman responded with a try, but the Spears quickly answered with Malcolm Marx scoring twice shortly after half-time. Koga Nezuka added to the Spears' tally before Ryota Kobayashi scored a late try for the Heat.
