Bayonne showcased an impressive performance, defeating Gloucester Rugby 55-17 at Stade Jean Dauger. Gloucester started strong with a try from Chapman, converted by Barton, giving them an early lead. However, Bayonne responded swiftly, with Germain scoring a try followed by a flurry of scores from Lopez, Martin, and Mori. Lopez's kicking game was exceptional, converting multiple tries and contributing significantly to the scoreline. In the second half, Tiberghien and Habel-Kueffner further extended the lead with well-executed tries. Gloucester managed a late consolation try from Jordan, but it was too little, too late. Overall, Bayonne's dominant display highlighted their attacking prowess and defensive resilience.
