Edinburgh Rugby triumphed over Bulls with a score of 34-28 in a closely contested Challenge Cup match. The home side got off to a strong start, with Lang scoring two early tries, both converted by Thompson, who also added a penalty later on. Bulls responded with Kriel's try, but Edinburgh maintained their momentum with Gilchrist's try shortly after halftime. Ross McCann's yellow card saw Edinburgh down a man, allowing Bulls to score a penalty try and Hanekom's try, bringing the game closer. However, Edinburgh's defense held firm as they managed to secure their lead. The match saw impressive performances from Lang and Thompson, who were pivotal for Edinburgh. In the end, the home side clinched victory, avenging their previous loss to the Bulls in September.
