Ethan Dumortier scored early for Lyon, putting the visitors ahead, but Bath quickly responded with tries from Tom Dunn and Max Ojomoh, both converted by Finn Russell. Despite two yellow cards for Bath, they maintained their momentum and Beno Obano added another try shortly after halftime. Russell continued to shine, converting the third try from Ben Spencer and adding penalties throughout the match. Lyon's Arno Botha managed a consolation try, but it was not enough to close the gap.
