Stage: Regular Season Round 5

Suncorp Stadium

The Queensland Reds secured a convincing 35-15 victory over the NSW Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium. The Waratahs took an early lead with a try from Reilly just two minutes into the match. However, the Reds quickly responded with four tries in the first half, showcasing their attacking prowess, including a standout performance from Lynagh who converted all four tries. The Reds capitalized on the Waratahs' struggles, particularly during Kellaway's yellow card, which left the visitors a man down. In the second half, the Reds continued their dominance, with Blyth adding another try to the scoreline. The Waratahs managed a late try from Gleeson, but it was too little too late. Overall, the Reds' strong forward play and tactical execution proved decisive in this match.
