Eden Park

The Blues narrowly defeated the Hurricanes 19-18 in a tightly contested Super Rugby match at Eden Park. Both teams exchanged penalties early, with Beauden Barrett converting three for the Blues and Riley Hohepa adding one for the Hurricanes. A key moment came when Brayden Iose scored a try for the Hurricanes, which was converted by Hohepa, giving the visitors a brief lead. The Blues responded with a try from Marcel Renata, again converted by Barrett, to reclaim the advantage before halftime. The second half saw Ngantungane Punivai score a crucial try for the Hurricanes, but Barrett's continued accuracy from penalties kept the Blues ahead. Despite a late surge from the Hurricanes, they were unable to secure a winning score. The match showcased strong performances, particularly from Barrett, who contributed significantly to the Blues' points tally.
