The NSW Waratahs secured a 21-14 victory against the Chiefs at Allianz Stadium. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii opened the scoring with a try in the 18th minute, followed by a successful conversion from Lawson Creighton. Triston Reilly added another try shortly after, extending the Waratahs' lead. Leroy Carter responded for the Chiefs with a try, converting the score to 14-7. Teddy Wilson's try for the Waratahs just after halftime further solidified their advantage. The Chiefs fought back with a try from Samipeni Finau, but were ultimately unable to close the gap. A late yellow card for Miles Amatosero could not dampen the Waratahs' momentum as they held on for the win.
