The Chiefs secured a decisive 35-19 victory over the Crusaders at Apollo Projects Stadium. Tom Christie opened the scoring for the Crusaders with an early try, converted by Rivez Reihana. However, the Chiefs quickly responded with Emoni Narawa scoring shortly after halftime, followed by two more tries from Damian McKenzie, who also converted all but one. The Chiefs dominated the second half, with Leroy Carter and Wallace Sititi adding tries to extend their lead. Despite a strong first half from the Crusaders, they struggled to contain the Chiefs' attacking prowess. McKenzie’s performance was pivotal, showcasing his skill in both scoring and playmaking. Ultimately, the Chiefs proved too strong, continuing their recent dominance over the Crusaders.
