Stage: Western Conference Round 6

Torero Stadium

The San Diego Legion secured a convincing 31-12 victory over the Miami Sharks at Torero Stadium. From the outset, the Legion showcased their attacking prowess, with fly-half McClutchie orchestrating play effectively. The Sharks struggled to contain the Legion’s pace on the wings, allowing players like Aoake and James to exploit gaps in the defense. Despite a spirited effort from Miami, highlighted by O'Leary's tactical kicking, they were unable to match the Legion's intensity. The home side's forwards, led by Holloway and Telea, dominated the set pieces, providing a solid platform for their backs. As the match progressed, the Sharks’ discipline faltered, leading to penalties that the Legion capitalized on. Ultimately, the Legion's strong performance reasserted their dominance in the MLR, continuing their successful run against Miami.
