The Houston Sabercats triumphed over the San Diego Legion with a commanding 37-15 win at Torero Stadium. The Sabercats established early dominance, scoring multiple tries, including a standout performance from Davy Coetzer at fly half. San Diego managed to respond with a try from Ryan James, but they struggled to keep pace with Houston's aggressive attack. Throughout the match, the Sabercats' forwards, led by Marno Redelinghuys, consistently overpowered the Legion's pack. As the game progressed, the Legion's inability to convert opportunities into points became apparent. The second half saw Houston maintain their lead, showcasing their tactical prowess and discipline. This victory marked a continued trend of success for the Sabercats against the Legion in their recent encounters.
