Barnabe Massa was a standout player, scoring two tries early in the game, while Benjamin Urdapilleta contributed significantly with his accurate kicking, converting all but one try. Thomas Ceyte's yellow card briefly disrupted Clermont's momentum, but they quickly regained control, with Alexandre Fischer extending their lead shortly after halftime. Castres managed to score through Will Collier, but their efforts were overshadowed by Clermont's relentless attack. The home side added a penalty try late in the match, further showcasing their dominance. Lucas Tauzin capped off the scoring with a try in the final minutes. Overall, Clermont's superior tactics and execution left Castres struggling to keep pace throughout the encounter.
