Wales triumphed over Japan with a score of 31-22 in a closely contested friendly match. Josh Adams opened the scoring for Wales with an early try, followed by a conversion from Dan Edwards. Japan responded with a penalty from Seungsin Lee but faced setbacks with Faulua Makisi's yellow card. Kieran Hardy's impressive performance saw him score two tries, both converted by Edwards, extending Wales' lead. A late first-half try from Shuhei Takeuchi kept Japan in the game, closing the gap at halftime. In the second half, Japan's Warner Dearns and Dylan Riley crossed the line, but Wales maintained their composure. Edwards capped off the match with a try, securing a hard-fought victory for Wales, who had previously lost to Japan just a week earlier.
