South Africa showcased their dominance against Italy with a commanding 45-0 victory. Grant Williams opened the scoring with an early try, followed by Edwill van der Merwe's first of two tries shortly after. Despite Jasper Wiese receiving a red card at the 20-minute mark, South Africa maintained their momentum, with van der Merwe scoring again and Canan Moodie also crossing the try line before halftime. Manie Libbok had an excellent day with the boot, converting five tries. In the second half, Malcolm Marx and Makazole Mapimpi added to the tally, and Jan-Hendrik Wessels capped off the scoring with a late try. Italy struggled to find any rhythm and were unable to penetrate South Africa's defense. Overall, it was a comprehensive display by the Springboks, highlighting their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.
