South Africa secured a convincing 32-14 victory over Italy in their international friendly at Allianz Stadium. The game took a turn early when South Africa's Mostert received a red card in the 10th minute, reducing his team to 14 men. Despite this setback, South Africa maintained control, with Pollard kicking penalties and van Staden scoring a crucial try just before halftime. Italy's Garbisi kept his side in contention with his accurate kicking, but they struggled to break through South Africa's defense. South Africa's Morne van den Berg and Grant Williams both crossed the try line in the second half, extending the lead. Capuozzo managed to score for Italy, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Ultimately, South Africa's resilience and strategic play earned them a well-deserved win.
