Wales narrowly defeated Japan 24-23 in a thrilling international friendly at the Principality Stadium. Dan Edwards opened the scoring with a try and conversion in the fifth minute, giving Wales an early lead. Japan responded quickly with Kippei Ishida scoring a try, converted by Seungsin Lee, to level the match. The game saw a dramatic moment when Josh Adams was sent off with a red card just before half-time. In the second half, Louis Rees-Zammit and Nick Tompkins added tries for Wales, with Edwards converting both, maintaining their lead.
