In a thrilling encounter, France narrowly defeated England 26-24 at Allianz Stadium. The French side struck early with tries from Barlot and Auradou, taking a 12-0 lead. England responded with a flurry of tries, including a brace from Willis and one from Coles, to lead 24-12 at half-time. However, England's momentum was stalled when Feyi-Waboso received a red card just before half-time. France capitalized on this advantage, with Mallez and Taofifenua scoring crucial tries in the second half. Antoine Hastoy's conversions were pivotal, especially his late successful kick after Taofifenua's try. Ultimately, the match showcased resilience and tactical acumen from both teams, with France emerging victorious.
