New Zealand secured a convincing 28-14 victory over Australia at Optus Stadium. The match began with Australia taking an early lead through a penalty from Edmed. However, New Zealand quickly responded with a try by Carter, followed by a successful conversion from McKenzie. Quinn Tupaea was instrumental for the visitors, scoring two tries within minutes, extending their lead significantly. Australia struggled with discipline, receiving yellow cards for Hooper and Ikitau, which hampered their efforts. Ikitau managed to score a try in the second half, but it was too late to change the outcome. New Zealand's McKenzie capped off the win with a late penalty, solidifying their dominance in the Championship series.
