Newcastle Red Bulls secured a 25-19 victory against Gloucester Rugby in a thrilling Premiership clash. George McGuigan opened the scoring with a try, converted by Brett Connon, giving the home side an early lead. Both teams faced yellow cards at the 15-minute mark, with Arthur Clark and Jamie Hodgson temporarily sidelined. Tom Christie extended Newcastle's advantage with another try before Gloucester's Ollie Thorley responded with a score of his own. In the second half, Simon Benitez Cruz added to Newcastle's tally, while Mike Austin and Ciaran Knight scored for Gloucester, keeping the pressure on the hosts. Despite their efforts and Thorley's red card, Gloucester could not close the gap sufficiently. Connon's consistent kicking proved crucial, helping Newcastle to maintain their lead and claim the win.
