Lyon secured a hard-fought victory against USA Perpignan with a final score of 17-12. Beka Shvangiradze opened the scoring for Lyon with a try in the 21st minute, followed by a successful conversion from Leo Berdeu. Lyon extended their lead with another try from Guillaume Marchand shortly before halftime, also converted by Berdeu. USA Perpignan's Tommaso Allan kept them in contention with penalties, but they struggled to capitalize on Lyon's yellow cards. Both teams faced disciplinary issues, resulting in significant player absences. Lyon's defense held strong in the second half, despite losing Monty Ioane to a yellow card. Ultimately, Lyon's early dominance and solid defensive play were key to their narrow victory.
