Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a narrow 23-18 victory over Stade Rochelais in an intense Top 14 clash. Matthieu Jalibert was instrumental for the home side, scoring 13 points through penalties and a conversion. Louis Bielle-Biarrey opened the scoring for Bordeaux-Bègles with a well-timed try shortly after halftime. Jules Favre responded for Rochelais with a try of his own, bringing them back into contention. However, Bordeaux-Bègles maintained their lead with a second try from Martin Page-Relo. The match saw both teams struggle with discipline, as yellow cards were issued to Bordeaux's Xan Mousques and Matis Perchaud late in the game. Despite a late penalty from Antoine Hastoy, Bordeaux-Bègles held on to claim the victory.
