Castres Olympique triumphed over US Montauban with a score of 32-28 in a closely contested Top 14 match. Nathanael Hulleu was a standout for Castres, scoring two tries early on, supported by Enzo Herve's accurate kicking. Montauban struggled with discipline, losing Tyrone Vi'iga to a red card, which put them at a disadvantage. Despite this, Segundo Tuculet and Baptiste Mouchous helped Montauban stay in the game, with Tuculet scoring just before halftime. The second half saw Montauban rally with tries from Jeremie Maurouard and Lucas Seyrolle, but Castres responded with crucial penalties from Herve. In a dramatic finish, Montauban could not secure a winning score despite their late efforts. Ultimately, Castres' early lead and strong defensive play allowed them to hold on for victory.
