Stage: Regular Season Round 11

Septeo Stadium

Montpellier Herault Rugby narrowly defeated Union Bordeaux-Bègles 28-24 in a thrilling Top 14 clash. The away team struck first with a try from Rayasi, converted by Jalibert, putting Bordeaux ahead early. However, Montpellier responded emphatically, with three consecutive tries from Moustin, Riccitelli, and Nouchi, all converted by Miotti, to take a commanding 21-7 lead. Bordeaux fought back with a try from Lamothe and another from Rayasi, but Miotti's consistent kicking kept Montpellier in the lead. Nouchi's second try for Montpellier extended their lead, but Bordeaux's late surge kept the contest tense. Jalibert's penalty and conversion efforts were not enough to secure a comeback for Bordeaux. Ultimately, Montpellier's strong start and resilience clinched them the victory at Septeo Stadium.
