Lyon claimed a decisive 44-24 victory over Stade Rochelais at Stade Marcel-Deflandre. Gabin Lorre opened the scoring with a try for Lyon, quickly followed by a conversion from Martin Meliande. Despite a valiant effort from Rochelais, including a try from Davit Niniashvili just before halftime, Lyon established a significant lead through multiple tries, notably from Sam Simmonds and Ethan Dumortier. The home side struggled with discipline, receiving two yellow cards, which hampered their chances. Meliande's consistent kicking further extended Lyon's advantage throughout the match. Rochelais managed to score late through Jiuta Wainiqolo, but it was not enough to close the gap. Lyon's performance showcased their attacking prowess and defensive resilience, securing a vital away win.
