Stage: Regular Season Round 17

Stade Marcel-Deflandre

Montpellier Herault Rugby secured a thrilling 43-33 victory over Stade Rochelais in a high-scoring Top 14 clash. Ihaia West opened the scoring for the home side with a penalty, followed quickly by a try from Dillyn Leyds, which West converted. However, Montpellier responded strongly, with Domingo Miotti scoring a try and adding multiple penalties to keep his team competitive. The second half saw fast exchanges, with Marco Tauleigne and Christopher Tolofua scoring tries for Montpellier, while Pierre Bourgarit and Paul Boudehent answered back for Rochelais. Ultimately, Miotti's kicking proved crucial, as he converted all his tries and penalties, keeping Montpellier ahead. In a game of momentum shifts, Rochelais managed to score late tries but couldn't close the gap. The match showcased both teams' attacking prowess, but Montpellier's defense held firm when it mattered most.
