Stade Aime Giral

Lyon secured a thrilling 32-28 victory over USA Perpignan in a closely contested Top 14 match at Stade Aime Giral. The away side opened the scoring with an early penalty from Lorre, but Urdapilleta quickly responded for Perpignan. Simmonds' try for Lyon, followed by a conversion from Berdeu, gave them a solid lead. Perpignan answered back with a try from Hall, which Urdapilleta converted, keeping the match tight at halftime. In the second half, Urdapilleta's kicking continued to keep Perpignan in contention, but Lorre, Chat, and Cretin scored crucial tries for Lyon. Despite a late effort from Perpignan, capped by Ruiz's try, they fell just short. The match exemplified the intense rivalry, with Lyon continuing their dominance over Perpignan this season.
