Castres Olympique delivered a commanding performance against US Montauban, winning 49-17 at Stade Pierre Fabre. The home side opened the scoring with a try from Corato, quickly followed by a conversion from Fernandez. Fernandez showcased his prowess by scoring a try himself and converting it, establishing a strong lead early in the match. Montauban's Bosviel managed a penalty and Ringuet scored a try, but they struggled to keep pace with Castres. The home team continued to dominate, with tries from Popelin, Colonna, and Azar, all converted by Fernandez.
