Matmut Stadium de Gerland

Montpellier Herault Rugby narrowly defeated Lyon 28-25 in a thrilling Top 14 clash at Matmut Stadium de Gerland. Lyon surged ahead early with tries from Cassang and Maraku, with Meliande converting to put them 12-0 up. However, Montpellier responded quickly with Ngandebe's try, followed by a penalty from Coly. The game took a turn when Montpellier's Camara received a red card, but they managed to regroup and equalized through Darmon's try in the second half. Meliande's penalties kept Lyon in contention, but Coly's consistent kicking for Montpellier proved decisive. Both teams exchanged tries in a tense finale, but Montpellier's defense held firm. Ultimately, the away team clinched a hard-fought victory, continuing their strong form against Lyon.
