Munster Rugby secured a convincing 34-21 victory over Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets. The away team took an early lead with a try from Casey, followed by a conversion and two penalties from Hanrahan, putting them ahead 13-0. Scarlets responded with a try from Murray and a conversion from Costelow, narrowing the gap to 13-7. However, Munster struck back immediately after halftime with a try from Haley, and Crowley added the conversion. Scarlets' Mee scored to bring it to 20-14, but Munster's Kelly and Ahern extended their lead with tries, making it 34-14. Plumtree's late score for Scarlets offered little more than consolation. Overall, Munster's strong performance, particularly from Crowley and Hanrahan, proved too much for the home side.
