Stage: Regular Season Round 3

Virgin Media Park

Munster Rugby triumphed over Edinburgh Rugby with a narrow 20-19 victory at Virgin Media Park. The home side started strong with a try from Smith, but Edinburgh quickly responded with tries from Ashman and Vellacott, taking an early lead. Munster's Milne scored twice, including a crucial try in the second half, demonstrating his impact on the game. The match was marked by a flurry of yellow cards for Edinburgh, with Young and Rae both temporarily sidelined, hindering their defensive efforts. Healy's consistent kicking kept Edinburgh in touch, converting their tries effectively. In a tense finish, Munster held on to their slim margin despite Edinburgh's late pressure. This victory avenged their previous loss to Edinburgh earlier in the season.
