Benetton Rugby delivered a commanding performance against the Lions, winning 41-15 at Stadio Comunale di Monigo. The home side quickly took control, with tries from Smith, Lynagh, and Ferrari giving them a strong lead early in the match. Jacob Umaga converted two of these tries and added a penalty shortly after halftime. The Lions managed to score through Ntlabakanye, but they struggled to contain Benetton's attacking prowess. Lynagh was particularly impressive, scoring three tries in total, showcasing his skills throughout the game. The match was marred by yellow cards for both teams, but Benetton's dominance remained unchallenged. This victory reinforced Benetton's strong position in the URC, following their previous win against the same opposition.
