The Lions secured a convincing 29-18 victory over the Scarlets at Ellis Park. Quan Horn opened the scoring with a well-timed try at the 24th minute, showing his pace and agility. Although Sam Costelow kept the Scarlets in touch with two penalties, the Lions extended their lead with a penalty from Gianni Lombard and a try by Franco Marais shortly after halftime. Morne Brandon's brace of tries in the second half further solidified the Lions' dominance. Darrien-Lane Landsberg received a yellow card, allowing the Scarlets to score a penalty try, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. Joe Roberts added a late try for the Scarlets, but the Lions maintained control throughout the match. This result avenged the Lions' previous loss to the Scarlets earlier in the season.
