Stade Chaban-Delmas

Union Bordeaux-Bègles secured a tense 22-18 victory over ASM Clermont Auvergne at Stade Chaban-Delmas. Early in the match, both teams received yellow cards, with Akhaladze and Tameifuna penalized. Bordeaux took the lead with a try from Falatea, but Clermont responded through Fainga'a shortly after. The home side regained momentum with a try from Tameifuna right at the start of the second half, followed by a conversion from Jalibert. Penaud added another try for Bordeaux, but Clermont's Delguy kept them within reach with a determined effort. Urdapilleta's late penalties for Clermont made it a nail-biting finish, but they fell just short. Bordeaux's discipline and defensive resilience ultimately clinched the win, maintaining their strong home record.
