Cardiff Rugby triumphed over Leinster Rugby with a close score of 8-7 in a tightly contested URC match. Aled Davies scored the only try for Cardiff in the 53rd minute, showcasing his skill as scrum half. Callum Sheedy contributed with a penalty earlier in the first half, giving Cardiff a slim lead. Leinster's Luke McGrath responded with a try and Charlie Tector added a conversion shortly after. However, Cardiff's defense held firm, especially after Jacob Beetham was shown a yellow card in the second half. The match was marked by a significant substitution early on when Harry Byrne was replaced by Tector, who later received a yellow card himself. Ultimately, Cardiff's strong home performance and strategic play secured them a vital victory against their rivals.
