Ellis Park

The Lions secured a resounding victory over Edinburgh Rugby with a score of 54-17 at Ellis Park. Key to the win was fly-half Chris William Smith, who converted all eight tries, showcasing his exceptional kicking skills. The Lions opened the scoring with an early try from Venter, followed by three more tries in quick succession from Horn, Landsberg, and van den Berg, establishing a commanding lead by halftime. Despite a yellow card for Horn, the Lions maintained momentum, adding further tries from Mills, Angelo Davids, and Pead in the second half. Edinburgh managed to score two tries through Ashman and Currie, but were unable to match the Lions' intensity. The home side's forward pack dominated the set pieces, while their backline executed plays with precision. Overall, it was a comprehensive performance that highlighted the Lions' attacking prowess and defensive solidity.
