Leinster Rugby secured a solid victory against the Stormers with a final score of 20-11 at Aviva Stadium. Rieko Ioane opened the scoring for Leinster with a try in the seventh minute, followed by a successful conversion from Sam Prendergast. Prendergast continued to impact the game, adding two penalties before halftime. The Stormers briefly responded with a try from Adre Smith, but Jurie Matthee's penalty attempts were not enough to close the gap. The second half saw a yellow card for Leolin Zas, which hampered the Stormers' efforts. Leinster capitalized on this advantage with a try from Jamison Gibson-Park, converted by Harry Byrne. Ultimately, Leinster's disciplined play and effective scoring kept them ahead, denying the Stormers a comeback.
