Montpellier Herault Rugby triumphed over Connacht Rugby with a commanding score of 45-22 in the Challenge Cup. The match started with Connacht's Sam Gilbert opening the scoring with a penalty, but they quickly found themselves down to 13 men due to yellow cards for Dylan Tierney-Martin and Shamus Hurley-Langton. Montpellier capitalized on this advantage, scoring a penalty try followed by a try from Christopher Tolofua, with Domingo Miotti converting both. Connacht's Dylan Tierney-Martin managed to score a try, but Montpellier's momentum continued, with additional tries from Mohamed Haouas and Miotti before halftime. In the second half, Connacht's Sean Naughton and Jack Aungier added to their tally, but Montpellier responded with tries from Ali Price and Jack Aungier, solidifying their lead. A late try from Valentin Welsch for Connacht brought some consolation, but Montpellier's dominance was clear throughout the match. This victory marked another strong performance for Montpellier, following their earlier win against Connacht earlier in the year.
